Welcome to the North Florida Learning Center 2025 Summer S.T.E.A.M. Camp!
We are excited to have your child join us for a summer filled with hands-on learning, creativity, and exploration. To ensure a safe, fun, and enriching experience for all campers, please review the following policies and procedures carefully.
A Summer of Adventure, Discovery, and Hands-On Fun!
Dear Future Scientists, Engineers, Artists, and Explorers, are you ready for six thrilling weeks of creativity, curiosity, and hands-on discovery? At the North Florida Learning Center S.T.E.A.M. Summer Camp, we’ve designed an exciting, action-packed experience where you’ll build, explore, experiment, and create like never before! Each week, we’ll dive into a new imaginative, mind-blowing theme, taking you on unforgettable adventures that will leave you asking, "What's next?" Get ready to travel the world, launch into space, solve mysteries, construct masterpieces, and even predict the weather! Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store for you:
🌍 Week 1: "Around the World in 4 Days" Are you excited, adventurous, and eager to explore new places? Buckle up for a whirlwind global tour—no passport required! We’ll travel across bustling cities, vast deserts, lush rainforests, and icy tundras, experiencing the rich, vibrant cultures of different countries. Taste new flavors, create traditional art, and learn about amazing inventions from around the world. Pack your imagination—this journey is going to be unforgettable!
🚀 Week 2: "Space Odyssey" Blast off into the mysteries of the universe! Have you ever wondered what it takes to survive on Mars? How far can humans really travel through space? This week, we’ll build astronomical models, design futuristic space stations, and solve the biggest space challenges—from zero gravity problems to galactic exploration. Get ready to train like an astronaut and dive into the unknown as we reach for the stars!
🏡 Week 3: "Home Sweet Home" Put on your architect’s hat—it’s time to design and construct! This week, we’re building the future while learning from the past. Explore how homes have changed over time, from ancient castles to modern skyscrapers. Then, unleash your creativity to construct your own dream home! Will you build a tiny treehouse, a futuristic mansion, or a cozy underground hideaway? Get ready to measure, plan, and create in this imaginative, hands-on building adventure!
Week 4: "Mystery Makers" Do you love puzzles, riddles, and brain-teasing challenges? This week, you’ll become a super sleuth, a clever detective, and a skilled investigator! We’ll follow mysterious clues, crack secret codes, and use scientific techniques to solve mind-boggling mysteries. Can you think critically, observe carefully, and connect the dots? Only the sharpest minds will unravel the mystery—will it be you?
🐦 Week 5: "Let's Build It!" Nature lovers and builders—this week is for you! Have you ever wondered where birds, insects, and small animals find shelter? This week, we’ll dive into the world of habitats and learn what it takes for animals to survive. Then, using your engineering skills, we’ll design and build real birdhouses to create safe and cozy homes for our feathered friends. Get ready to hammer, paint, and construct as we bring nature and creativity together!
🌪️ Week 6: "Future Meteorologists" Are you ready for storm season? Have you ever wondered why hurricanes form or what makes tornadoes spin? This week, we’ll experiment with wind tunnels, create mini-storms, and track real weather patterns! Learn how meteorologists predict, prepare, and protect people from extreme weather. With interactive simulations, hands-on experiments, and wild weather facts, you’ll be a future weather expert in no time!
Every week at North Florida Learning Center’s S.T.E.A.M. Summer Camp is filled with exciting experiments, hands-on projects, and unforgettable discoveries! You’ll make new friends, learn incredible things, and have the most adventurous summer ever!

Camp Hours & Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedures:
Camp Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday – Thursday)
Drop-Off Time: 8:45 AM – 9:15 AM
Pick-Up Time: 3:45 PM – 4:15 PM
Early Drop-Off/Late Pick-Up: Available upon request for an additional fee of $60.00 per hour.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Location: 1626-C Crawfordville Hwy, Crawfordville, Fl 32327
Authorized Pick-Up: o Only individuals listed on the registration form may pick up your child.
Photo ID must be presented at pick-up.
If an unauthorized person arrives, the child will not be released until a parent/guardian is contacted.
Attendance & Absences
If your child will be absent, please notify us by 8:00 AM via phone or email.
Frequent absences may impact participation in projects or activities.
Refunds are not available for missed days.
Behavior Expectations & Code of Conduct
At North Florida Learning Center, we promote a respectful, kind, and inclusive environment. Campers are expected to:
✔ Follow directions from staff.
✔ Treat fellow campers, staff, and property with respect.
✔ Stay with their assigned group.
✔ Participate in activities to the best of their ability.
✔ Use kind words and actions. Unacceptable behavior includes but is not limited to:
❌ Bullying or teasing.
❌ Disrupting activities.
❌ Refusing to follow instructions.
❌ Physical aggression (hitting, pushing, etc.).
❌ Inappropriate language.
Behavior Management:
First Incident: Verbal reminder.
Second Incident: Removal from activity and discussion with camp counselor.
Third Incident: Parent/guardian will be contacted.
Continued Behavior Issues: Camper may be dismissed from the program without a refund.
Health & Safety Policies
Allergies & Medical Conditions:
Please ensure all allergies and medical conditions are listed on the registration form.
If your child requires medication during camp hours, a Medication Authorization Form must be completed.
Camp staff are trained in basic First Aid & CPR. We are not medical personnel. If your child requires medical attention, you and 911 will be notified immediately.
Illness Policy:
To maintain a safe and healthy environment, please do not send your child to camp if they exhibit any of the following symptoms:
Fever of 100.4°F or higher
Vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours
Persistent cough or difficulty breathing
Any contagious illness (e.g., pink eye, flu, strep throat) If a child becomes ill during camp, a parent/guardian will be contacted for immediate pick-up.
What to Bring & What to Leave at Home
Required Daily Items:
✔ Refillable water bottle
✔ Packed lunch and snacks (nut-free preferred)
✔ Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
✔ Hat and sunscreen (for outdoor activities)
✔ Any necessary medication (with authorization form) Prohibited Items:
❌ Electronics (phones, tablets, gaming devices) – phones may be stored with staff for emergencies
❌ Toys or trading cards
❌ Personal valuables (we are not responsible for lost or stolen items)
❌ Weapons, sharp objects, or anything deemed unsafe
Lunch & Snack Guidelines
Campers should bring a nut-free lunch each day. Snacks are provided only in the morning and the afternoon.
Refrigeration and microwaves are not available. Campers will have designated snack and lunch breaks.
Please send plenty of water to keep your child hydrated throughout the day.
Weather & Outdoor Activities
We could potentially have outdoor activities. Please send sunscreen and a hat with your child.
In the event of severe weather, outdoor activities will be adjusted or canceled for safety.
Emergency Procedures
All staff are trained in First Aid, CPR, and emergency response. We will call 911 in case of an emergency.
In the event of an emergency, parents/guardians will be contacted immediately.
If a child requires medical attention, they will be taken to the nearest medical facility, and emergency contacts will be notified.
Communication with Parents/Guardians
We will communicate camp updates via email or text. Please ensure the camp counselors have a working phone number for you.

Registration Fee: $125.00 per week (non-refundable)
Total Camp Duration: 6 Weeks Payments are due weekly on the Monday of each camp session.
A $50 late fee will apply if payment is not received by Wednesday of the week attended.
Payments can be made via cash, check, or electronic payment.
Refunds are not available for missed days.
For MULTIPLE WEEKS OF REGISTRATION, an additional registration fee will be waived after the first registration fee is paid.
